It is always amazing to see from outside how religions can convince people they are the right choice without having the ultimate proof. “It is better to adhere just in case” is very often the final argument.
But on the other side, if a religion was right why to have more than 100000 religions over the world?
Each ones try to convince their participants their system is natural, just and good. They use coercion forces when they can, they inculcate obedience as quickly as possible and nullify opposition definitly to protect from outside comments.
Church’s power over sexuality was not weakened until 20th century where we succeeded to brake tight connection between sex and procreation.

It ensures that “sex and/or masturbation amongst the masses is a right , if not a duty”
British Association for Sexual Educators (BASE).
Masturbation is a very common thing and yet in some faiths it is considered to be a sin (Roman Catholic) .
But now we have to explain to young generation that masturbation is natural, that it is a normal way to relieve sexual tension and to prevent from making bad sexual decisions.
