What is the meaning of existence?

My meaning of existence is definitely something around the Paul Kurtz’s Future of Secular Humanism in America.
“Human beings have found their meanings within the context of a historical-cultural experience and in how they live and participate within it.

Life had meaning for them and their fellow human beings; only the content differed the form and function are similar.

Human beings have lived their lives under a variety of cultural conditions. They have found life inspiring and meaningful, a source of optimism and euphoria. It can be a source of joy and a wonder to behold but, only if we resolve to live fully and to realize all of the goods of which we are capable.”(1)

Nowadays existence has a meaning without adhering to a religion. It is a good thing because religions look so much invented and driven by humans with all their weaknesses and all their searches for power.


Our brains are so well made that they can adapt to very different situations. They are never “frozen”. They are never built only for some situations. It is amazing to observe that our brains could adapt to so many different conditions we could face all over the word.
It is amazing to observe how we could live with pending crucial vital questions ( where do we come from, where do we go …) and how we still keep getting deeply involved in our day to day life, questions just coming up only from time to time.
