Following his mother’s death, Ming, a handsome gay man, rents a room owned by Cyrus an extravagant young man who is a rent boy. Ming agrees to follow in his footsteps.
While the duo have a great deal of fun together, Ming tries to keep his new source of income hidden from his lover, Yen.
Despite Ming’s efforts to keep things a secret, Yen discovers his extra income. Unable to cope with Ming’s new lifestyle, Yen tips off the police about Cyrus but Ming is the one arrested.
Thanks to the support of a fellow prisoner named Keung, Ming manages to survive his sentence. Once out of prison, Ming moves in with Keung but finds out he does not live alone.
A hit at film festivals around the world, End of Love abandons the usual themes of identity and coming out which are often characteristic of gay Asian cinema and presents a mature, involving and quite entertaining look at what its like to be young and gay in modern-day Hong Kong.
